I'm halfway there!
We just landed in Paris, France to meet up with the other teachers in my travel group. There are 13 of us, all coming from different cities across the U.S. - Atlanta, Washington, DC, Albany, to name a few. It's about 10:30 am in Paris and 5:30 am in New York, so of course I am exhausted!
This is a picture of the double decker plane that I flew into Paris on. Two other teachers from the NYC area sat with me on the upper deck. It didn't feel much different from a regular plane though, even though I was sitting in Row 92.
Off to Rabat, Morocco, the capital city, in about 2 hours!
did u see anything interesting in france? Did u get to see the effiel tower? what was different about paris that we dont have in new york city?
ReplyDeleteI didn't get to leave the airport. It was just a stopping point to meet up with all of the other teachers coming from other cities and go to Morocco together. :(
DeleteI have been to Paris before though. It is very similar to NYC with the parks, busy streets, subway and tourist attractions. Paris seemed a lot cleaner to me, not much garbage on the streets.
I imagine the plane was allot bigger than the commercial planes we are used to traveling on, row 92, WOW. Was it a straight flight or did you have to transfer before France?
DeleteDid the teachers from Morocco speak English? And if they did, was it difficult to understand them
ReplyDeleteThe teachers I have met from Morocco all speak English, and very well. Aside from an occasional word or two, I understood them fine. The teachers that I have met are all English teachers, so they have to speak English in order to teach it to their students.
DeleteSome of the educational leaders do not speak English, only Arabic and French, so the Moroccan teachers who have been traveling with us have had to translate.
I'v always wanted to go to PARIS "The City Of LOVE"
